What a Singapore wedding actually costs in 2026

Every couple asks the same question in the first ten minutes, and almost nobody in this industry answers it in public. So here it is, for two hundred guests in a good Singapore hotel ballroom, on a Saturday evening, in 2026.

The banquet is half of it

Twenty tables of ten at S$1,800–3,800 a table comes to S$36,000–76,000, and that single line is why a ballroom wedding costs what it does. The per-table rate usually includes the dinner, free-flow beer and house wine, a suite for the night, the cake, a basic stage and the sound system. What it does not include is the thing to ask about. Corkage, extra hours, a second stage backdrop and parking coupons are where a S$2,200 table quietly becomes S$2,600.

Weekday lunches sit 20–30% lower. Auspicious dates and the December to February peak sit at the top of the range, and so do Saturdays generally. If the date is flexible, this is the line where flexibility pays most.

The choices

Photography, S$3,000–8,000 for a full day. Film, S$2,500–7,000. Florals and styling, S$4,000–15,000, depending mostly on whether the flowers fly in and how tall the installations are. A live band, S$2,800–6,500. Hair and makeup, S$1,200–3,500. Stationery, S$800–3,000. Emcee and solemniser, S$800–2,500. A bridal car, S$500–1,800.

Take the middle of each and the choices add up to around S$25,000. Take the top of each and they pass S$45,000. None of them is compulsory, and all of them are visible in the room and in the photographs afterwards, which is why they are worth arguing about.

The things nobody budgets for

Tea ceremony props and a second outfit. Red packets for the helpers. Overtime for the photographer when the speeches run long, which they will. Gifts for the parents. A rehearsal dinner. Transport for grandparents. Tips. Alterations. The second cake because the hotel's one is not the one you want. We put a line called "the things nobody budgets for" in every wedding budget at 5% of the total, and it is always spent.

Where the money is best spent

Lighting, first. It is the cheapest way to change how a ballroom feels, and the line most couples cut without ever having seen a room properly lit. Then the photographer, because it is the only line still worth anything in ten years. Then food you would order again. Flowers third, not first, and only after the room and the light are decided, because the same S$8,000 of florals looks completely different under good light and bad.

The total

Add our fee for full planning at S$8,800 and a 200-guest ballroom wedding in Singapore lands between about S$62,000 and S$130,000 before attire and rings. Most of our couples sit in the lower half of that range, because a planner's job is partly to know which lines are worth the top of their range and which are not.
